Topic The Rybka Lounge / Test Positions / Kramnik-Carlsen: Deep Rybka evaluated a draw position as +80
KRAMNIK,V – CARLSEN,M, London Chess Classic 2010
After Kramnik played the decisive mistake 69.Kg3? throwing away the win (69.g5! won), someone's Deep Rybka 4 at some Norwegian forum (http://sjakk.origo.no/-/bulletin/show/615576_london-chess-classic-2010-runde-6-tirsdag-14-12?show_all=true) - by the way running on a very strong hardware - still gave this analysis:
Analysis by Deep Rybka 4 SSE42 x64 LP:
69…g5 70.Kf3[] Kd4[] 71.Bf7 Kd3[] 72.Ba2 Kd4 73.Be6 Ke5 74.Bc4 Kd4 75.Bg8 Kd3 76.Bf7[] Kd4 77.Ba2
+- (79.89) Depth: 31 00:00:56 50198kN, tb=114500
Are there any other examples of Rybka giving such a high evaluation of position which is actually drawn? (Remark: 69...g5 actually loses, while Carlsen's 69...Ke3 holds a draw.)

I know that everyone from GMs down to the most clueless engine slave states it is a draw, so it must be correct.
> Carlsen's 69...Ke3 holds a draw
What is the drawing line, let's say after 70.g5 (as already suggested in the live analysis on ChessOK.com) instead of Kramnik's 70.Kh4?

I love dry humor. This post is Sahara dry.
See for example analysis given at http://sjakkfantomet.blogg.no/1292399206_london_chess_classic_.html (translation to English by me):
"70.g5 Ke4! 71.Kg4 (71.gxh6 gxh6 leads to a draw.) 71...Ke5 72.Lg8 Ke4 73.g6 Ke5 74.Lb3 Kf6 75.Lf7 Ke5 76.Kf3 Kf5 77.Ke3 Kg4 78.Kd2 Kg3 79.Ld5 Kg4 80.Kc3 Kg5 81.Lf7 Kf6 82.Kb3 Ke7 83.Kxa3 a drawn position with Dvoretsky's knowledge."
