I remember reading on the forum that there were some plans for a bug fix version of Rybka 4. Are there still plans for this version 4.01 or did those plans get canceled?

This reminds me of those moments on "Beavis and Butthead" when they would start nervously chuckling for a long time and say things like "heh heh, heh heh, yeah!  heh heh, fire's cool!"

The "promise" was canceled-but, not the plan!

promise (pròm´îs) noun
1.  a. A declaration assuring that one will or will not do something; a vow. b. Something promised.
2.  Indication of something favorable to come; expectation: a promise of spring in the milder air.
3.  Indication of future excellence or success: a young player of great promise.

plan (plàn) noun
1.  A scheme, program, or method worked out beforehand for the accomplishment of an objective: a plan of attack.
2.  A proposed or tentative project or course of action: had no plans for the evening.
3.  A systematic arrangement of important parts; an outline or a sketch: the plan of a story.
4.  A drawing or diagram made to scale showing the structure or arrangement of something.
5.  In perspective rendering, one of several imaginary planes perpendicular to the line of vision between the viewer and the object being depicted.

So! Where does that leave the "bug-fix"?!!!

Addendum:

With one word he giveth -with the other, he taketh away!

And the code that is issued will  determine what level product you receive. The Starter package will be Ryka 3.1 ( and for a few extra bucks- you can get Deep Rybka 3.1. That's right! You can own the most sought after version- a virtual collectors Rybka chess engine. ).
