I just bought Rybka 2.3.2 from the Chess Federation of Canada and created a UCI engine in my Fritz10 interface. Fritz recognizes Rybka as version 2.3 but when you examine the dates on the Rybka chess engine the dates are February 14, 2006 for both the 32 bit and 64 bit versions. There are some dll's that have more recent dates within the Rybka directory , but none that seemed to have anything to do with an engine. Could anyone confirm what their dates are on their version of the Rybka engine?

It is strange, because Rybka 2.3 was built in current year. My Rybka ver 2.3 has dated 15 Feb 2007 and ver 2.3.2 is of 18 June 2007
2.3 is dated 15 February, 2.3.2 13. June and 2.3.2a 18. June.
The dll files is engines, but for installation in ChessAssistant.

Hi,
I don't quite understand : Convekta only allowed the direct download of the .exe's
So the date you get is only the date you downloaded the files...
In order to be able to know the "real" dates of the files, Convekta should have allowed the download of zipped (or rared...) files!
Well, yeah...They've zipped, they've been exe-direct, changes from time to time. However, if my memory serves me well, it was at those mentioned dates I could read about the releases in here too.
uhm, I have 19 June for the 2.3.2a executable.
I guess you got the download link link after midnight the 19. ;) See Ernest's post.
Hi and welcome here, KK! :-)
If the Rybka version reports herself as Rybka 2.3, then it's definitely a recent one from this year.
The newest Rybka version BTW is Rybka 2.3.2a.
