Yesterday i played on Playchess in engine room i saw this rybka version 1.01 beta 13 3 which is very fast and tactical beating my rybka 2.3.2a mp 32 bit , maybe this version can be reused as next version of rybka.

This has nothing to do with the strength of this engine, but the fact you are playing on slow hardware with a bad openingline from the book. That's all.

One should not play engine games unless you have up to date hardware. What book were you using and what is your hardware e.g. Pentium II or Pentium III? You are supposed to put the hardware you are using in your profile according to the note in the front page of the engine room.

I was using Rybka II final book , and I have Pentium 4 1200 MHz PC with . The opponent was using  Pentium core 2 1.x GHz . I have played against Rybka 2.3.2a machines with core 2 opponents i had about 4 draw and 2 wins .

> The opponent was using  Pentium core 2 1.x GHz

Core 2 is not Pentium, thank Caissa for that!

At equal clock speeds (though keep in mind that the slowest Core 2 is 1.8 GHz), this would mean a little more than a 2x advantage (because Pentium 4 sucks) even without 64-bit, which is a factor 1.6. Therefore (without the second core since this is Rybka 1), his setup was about 400% faster than yours. With an outdated book on top of that, it's no wonder you lost.

Why do you have the MP version, anyway? If you own a dual, you should use it!

Look at this page (http://www.jens.tauchclub-krems.at/diverses/Schach/fritz9_benchmarks.html) to see how powerful the recent machines are. Without a QuadCore and a very good book you would have to be a GM of Anand's ability to get a decent rating (playing as a centaur not engine-only) even if you have the latest rybka and a Pentium 4 1200.

bedouin i have questions in my mind , which processor is good for rybka . Does core2 duo processor works same as multiprocessors. Which book is best for rybka.

I always knew 1.e4 c5! is best, now Rybka even says black has a forced win!
