Rybka Triumphant
is the title of the July 2007 ChessOK Cafe column in Chesscafe.com, and the first paragraph reads
"Those who have followed the computer chess scene for the past year or two have witnessed one of its biggest revelations – the release of Rybka. Its first beta version was released in December 2005, and in spite of the bugs and rough edges, it surpassed all other programs. Some computer chess experts, shocked by the strength of the program, needed time to adjust, before they could accept the fact that it was truly an original creation by international master Vasik Rajlich. It soon became clear that it was only a matter of time until Rybka became the World Computer Chess Champion."

Yes nice article although a bit small. :) I always like more and more.....
One strange thing in that article is:
They say that the comments are based on notes from Vasik Rajlich (VR), Jeroen Noomen (JN), and Rybka.
But they mention several times the DJ abbreviation. What this stands for? Deep Junior maybe? :)
Speaking about Rybka/Rajlich articles here is one more:

DJ= Dadi Jonsson
What is Deep Junior? ;)
In our guestbook I see a link to a polish article about Rybka: http://www.gs24.pl/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070720/SPORT/70719039
Maybe someone from Poland can give us more information what it is about :)

To prove that Vasik actually does own a suit, at least he still did in february 2007:

A short but still interesting interview with Vas that I found by accident through a link on CCC, http://www.talkchess.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24514, I don't remember anybody posting about before?
Regards, Eelco

That is not a picture of Vas, just ask him ...
Well, I think it is one. Vas is looking weird without beard :)
I think Vas looks better "weird" :)
I agree Ted, he doesn't look like Vas.
DJ= djobraj
If you right click on the photo and select properties you will see:

Where "djobraj01.jpg" is the image name. How is that for a clue? :)

I am not convinced
a) it is really Vas
b) that jacket qualifies as a real "suit". Notice how shiny it is. Either Vas is now wearing silk suits (in which case Rybka's retail price needs to come down a whole lot and someone needs to slap him upside the head) or that's a leather jacket.
c) a "suit" is defined by matching jacket and trousers. The trousers clearly do not match, and we can't tell if they are even slacks. For all we know he could be wearing sagging shorts, gangster-style. I wouldn't be surprised.
d) what about his shoes? I'm betting the guy is wearing sandals again.
e) underneath shirt and necktie he is probably wearing his "Viva Commandante Che Guevara" shirt again.
