The hash file location defaults to:

C:\Users\username\Documents\ChessBase\NoGames\EngineParameter\Deep Rybka 4 SSE42 x64/file.rsh  The file, file.rsh is never present.  Save hash does not save to this filename, and load hash has nothing to find.

Is this feature unique to Aquarium, or am I doing something wrong?

Just create the file manually (make sure it ends in .rsh and not other extension).

I created a 0 byte file name.rsh and am able to save the hash to the file.  When I unload Rybka I see that the file is the size of my specified hash and contains data.  I can then re-load Rybka and ask her to load the file.  I assume she is, not sure how to verify.  The problem is, how do I then save the current playing sessions hash to the same file?  I need to use Fritz's "Change Main Engine" feature to get to Rybka's options.  I then use the "save hash" feature to the specified file.  This resets the hash on the file and creates a 0 byte file.  The logic makes sense, as the "Change Main Engine" button tells Fritz to start a new session.

How ?

Your avatar is frighting.

Maybe my explanation about the engine reloading is not accurate, but, trying to "save hash." does overwrite the file with a 0 byte file.  My followup question is, how (the order of clicking on buttons, or some Fritz GUI shortcut that I am not aware of) can I save the current hash, that has been loaded into memory from a previous file save?!

Why did a moderator move this thread into the "Aquarium forum??"  This is a question about Rybka and the Frittz1 GUI.

no idea :) I'll move it to the support section.

Thanks,

I had originally posted in the Rybka support section, and an mod moved it to the Rybka Discussion section, then later to the Aquarium Section.

ok, sorry about that. No idea how that could have happened.

> no idea :-)

When he said "Is this feature unique to Aquarium" I thought he was using Aquarium, sorry for the confusion.

Not a problem, was just wondering why it happened.
