Hello,
After I played and studied more than 7600 games with Rybka I made some observations concerning this super engine.
For Rybka with the black pieces in the Caro-Kann and in the French there are lines treated bad.In Ruy Lopez and
Russian Defence in some cases Rybka has problems too.The Sicilian is very fine for Rybka, especially certain lines
the opponent is forced into BY THE BOOK.
After troublesome work I found out that Rybka leaves the book with average evaluations between -0.15 and +0.10.That's good for black.
After 1)d4, 1)c4 or 1)Nf3 there are no problems,the King's Indian excluded.
With the white pieces everything is OK for Rybka.Especially after 1)e4 the opponent will come out of the book with a negative evaluation.
Best regards,
Harry Schnapp

Hi Harry,

Robert

Your book is just superior. I had not any problem to equalize against 300+ opponents on Playchess.
I wonder about your precise and complex job. Thanks for it.

Congratulation for your job: the HS book is probably the best book avaiable for Rybka :)
Just a question: do you think that the sharpest lines of Sicilian (like Dragon or Najdorf) suite Rybka's strenght better than quieter lines (Paulsen, Kan)?
again, thanks for this book.

Hello Antonio,
Thank you for your kind words,I estimated those much.
About Sicilian lines: I had to think also of chess friends the use my book on the server of Playchess.
In some lines from Dragon and Najdorf it gives there dangerous traps!
Best regards,
Harry.
I feel obligated to commend you on your book, Harry. I spend a lot of time making opening books and I know this is a result of a lot of hard work. Its tight and focused - really what an opening book should be for computer chess. I've tried to make a book in the spirt of this and I know it is not as easy as one might think.
