Okay! Cowboy Bebop

The day the Fly flew in and left his maggot eggs - Yeah the arse hole " Dark Avenger “ Not only did this idiot fly in via Brazil from China he was able to sell his this forum a line of crock that only a mother could love.

Then the eggs start hatching almost immediately and the maggots started eating and the plot started  thickening.

" Urm, but if this is the same code, where did he get the source from?"  Wonder, the first to post on the scene.

" I do not know." Says the second to post,

" Maybe" He say, " he simply stole the code of rybka beta by some way from vas's computer and could not do the same later for future versions of rybka."

Now, this statement conjures up all kinds of images- Can you see, Yuri, taking a plane to Budapest- (like in the old movies, where they show a drawing of plane traversing a map from Russia to Hungry-) then the next shot is of Yuri on a bus heading for Vas's house?

Finally, we see, Yuri, sipping coffee from a Styrofoam cup, across the street from where Vas lives, waiting for Vas to leave his house!

You can all most hear the organ music in the background reaching a heighten crescendo on that last statement-so much so that it should be the end of this episode-but alas it is not.

This second guy on the scene makes yet another fascinating deduction.

He says, " This subject was discussed earlier with earlier versions of strelka and experts said that sterlka is not a clone after getting the code of sterlka.
Note that strelka is different than rybka based on comparing analysis."

Which is the supposed clone and which isn't? I think they were talking about "clowns".

Then we hear from a third poster,  who chimes in with,

"Hi

are you sure? "

So! This will be espisode 1

The Pompous Pedantic Dadiaticism Of The Above Referenced Madness:

This ,Yuri, fellow, more than likely fashions himself to be something of an anarchist-he thrives on attention getting behaviour and eat up the ensuing chaos that his activities create.  It becomes a carnival of events that he and his cohorts can amuse themselves with-May be!

I remember reading some where someone called him a " Patriot" which could mean an "old " or even " new " Communist or possibly Fascist. Then again, all this could be wrong and he just may be a renegade computer techno artists where there is less of a fine line between borrowing and stealing " intellectual property."  He sure isn't selling anything.

The irony here is that some shit from china-(Don't forget this is the guy that got every thing stirred up!) Jumps on to the scene in true comic book fashion and you all go agaga over him.

From China via Brazil (Good God!)-where intellectual property is out right crapped on before it even hits the Chinese board-But no one, but nobody goes after this dude Someone,  even goes to the point of thanking him for his troubles.

Episode 2 The DarkAvenger posts once again.

So, Our, Comic strip buddy, opens with " I can only laugh at the reaction by some people. I guess they like being suckers, or they just might be plain stupid."

Of course, he finds a taker who posts,  " I believe that strelka is a clone but..." Then goes off babbling about something or other.

Another poster come on and tell him,  that Mr. DarkAvenger wasn't talking to "him", he was in fact talking to "Vas".

To which the original poster snap back with, "I agree that if the poster(DarkAvenger) wanted to say it only for "Vas", he could send an email to Vas."

So, now in essence they are fighting over who is going to have an  audience with the comic book character Mr. DarkAvenger.

Episode 3 The Meat Of It

I say the meat of it because this is where Vas weighs in with;

1) There is no doubt...

2) I have no idea how ...

3) This Strelka release does not bother me...

4)From the point of view of the computer chess community...

Vas

Then, after Vas's proclaimation to the masses -"YES"  MR DarkAvenger posts in with,

"OK."  "I will give you one more example, and then I will shut up forever."  Oh, yeah sure he will- then he goes on with;

" If you still think he did this as a joke and you don't shut this guy now, then maybe you deserve the next Strelka based on your latest code."

Which begins to lead me to believe that Mr DarkAvenger has a personal axe to grind with Yuri Osipov. No Crap-Jack. Are they, or,  were they lovers?

Was there a love Trieste between the two that turned ugly? What really is the deal here? Come on! Rybka Forum Cowboy Bebop(s) this is more than coincidence here.  You didn't really think this was about a chess engine did you? Honestly? I mean the guy signs off with,

Best wishes to you and the Rybka,
The Dark Avenger

These two birds have a connection! Possible University-

Episode 4

Dan Corbit Post an appearance-

Finding two small tables-
It also does not mean-
Having said that, I know nothing-
I have seen the code-
I have a suggestion-

With this declaration the Mr. DarkAvenger is pretty much blotted out of existence-

Another poster chimes with-

" I agree with you about the small tables..."

Dan Corbit, comes back and states once again this time adamantly emphasizing his position.

" My reasons are posted in CCC.  Strelka 1.0b is not a clone."

"It could have borrowed some ideas, but the code is clearly an original base and not something reverse engineered."

He goes on later to say, "Now, it is possible that someone could trace with a debugger and borrow some ideas or some tables of data.  But it would be quite daunting to try to tie the whole lot together into a cohesive program.  In my opinion, *much* harder than just writing the thing from scratch.

That having been said, it bears no relation to Strelka 1.8 UCI.  About that system, I cannot make any statements."

But I don't need to re-hash Dan's statement here you can easly read that for your selves-that is not what I want to draw your attention to. That is not what struck me at the time.

It was Vas's response.

I should name this Episode THE NELSON HERNANDEZ LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

Why would I jump from Strelka to Nelson Hernandez- Vas wasn't concerned about Strelka, his question was about

" I'd be curious to understand how difficult it is to reverse-compile Rybka and understand it enough to make changes like adding support for underpromotions, change weights without destroying the playing strength, etc.

Nelson, it looks like Vas is considering your bishop underpromotion after all-
And thus does this saga end

At this point I believe that those two birds were in communication with each other at one time or other.

Possibly, through some forum-I don't think they like capitalist-may be fashion themselves anarchists.

Yes, Cowboy Bebop(s) you got sucker punched-when you get sucker punched, you never see it coming.

The information that DarkAvenger had, did you ever take the time to consider that it may have been given to him by "Yuri" to set this whole mess affair up!!!

If so, and I think so-a brilliant little plan if any-I'd say- whether you want to admit to it or not.

It still has a great number of you hot to trot- Cowboy Bebop(s)! What a coup! hey-too

It is just too-too-too coincidental.

At the same time this thread does not go into the matter of what Strelka is for that I would refer you to :
