How about the user can manually exclude some moves/positions to be searched in Infinite analysis or Deep search etc. Or just have some priority parameters in the moves to be searched in a certain position or in a sub-search in a position.

I bought the Shredder GUI just because of this feature and I find it very useful, so I add my vote to this.

Well, there are already several mechanisms of excluding some moves from the analysis in the upcoming Rybka GUI. The most simple one: in the start of analysis you can get the 'Select moves' dialog and determine which moves to analyse (not analyse).

This feature is present in Chess Assistant already, so we had only to transport in into Rybka GUI.

That's next to useless if you're doing infinite analysis and changing the position all the time. Shredder uses

control + move = search these moves only
shift + move = exclude (or cancel exclusion),

which I think is nearly perfect. One idea is to extend the UCI protocol so that the engine could just remove root moves on the fly instead of having to restart searching every time the GUI sends the searchmoves command.

You mean, on the board? and these moves are not added into the notation, just a directive for the engine?

Yes, it's just like making a normal move.

Yes. The engine pane shows the list of included/excluded moves, whichever one is shorter.
