Is my Rybka 2.3.2a using the hash tables?

I recently purchased the 32 bit version of Rybka 2.3.2a. I noticed on the Shredder Classic GUI it shows that Rybka is using 0% of the available hash, unlike other engines which show the hash table usage percentage gradually go upward as the engine calculates. (I have the hash table set to use 128 MB RAM, and my computer is an Athlon “1800” mhz with 384 MB RAM)

I then tried the Rybka engine in the Arena GUI and the result was the same – it showed the hash table usage stayed at 0 per cent.

My hunch is that Rybka 2.3.2a is in fact using the hash tables and that it is just not being displayed correctly by Shredder Classic and Arena GUIs. (I also tried Rybka 2.3.2a on Chessbase Shredder 7 / Fritz GUI, but could not figure out how (if there is a way) to display hash table usage percentage.)

Anybody else have this problem? Is Rybka 2.3.2a indeed using the hash tables, or not?

This is no problem
The percentage of hash that is showed by the gui is misleading so it is better not to show it.

I think that it is more logical to show the number of positions that cannot be stored in the hash because at least it gives information
about number of failures to store new information.

This number can be 0 in the first plies of the search and increase more slowly when the hash is bigger.
This number also can give the user information if there is a demage from not using enough hash entries relative to using infinite hash.

Misleading or not, but i think it would be much useful if something was displayed in this field by default than just a zero.
