does anyone here use chesspublishing.com or openingmaster.com and if so, are they worth the money?

I use Chesspublishing.com and find it very useful. Lots of ideas and you can question the GM's that run each section. I have submitted some of my Corr. games and it is nice to see the openings analysed by a GM.

Opening Master is a fine source of human games, probably the most comprehensive one commercially available.  I have been a subscriber.  If you combine TWIC with ChessOK you get most of the games that get added to Opening Master each month, but they definitely have more sources of games.  I am not sure if it is a worthwhile investment for you as it mainly a great big database with some opening theory thrown in.  Chesspublishing is entirely theory-oriented and, because it goes back to 1999, has quite a large archive of past analysis in many opening lines.  So...if you are interested in theory and new ideas, and especially if you play OTB, CP is worthwhile.  OM is great if you are a game collector.
