I apologize if this was already answered somewhere, but does anyone know how why Rybka do not have settings for piece score?  I mean Pawn=1, Knight=3 (something like that).  It would be nice to made different score for pieces.

That's on the realm of creating different engine personalities, Vas didn't want to do a poor implementation of it so he hasn't gotten to do it yet.

Hey, I'm from the people that believe Vas might not cripple Rybka 4 to-buy, so I have to believe on the Rybka personalities too to stay consistent.

When I said, "if he will ever do it", I was talking about this "I mean Pawn=1, Knight=3 (something like that).  It would be nice to made different score for pieces. ". No one even mentioned anything about crippling of Rybka, the guy was talking about piece values.

Respect your elders and don't yell at them, especially wrongfully :)

No, I don't drink, I was saying that if you're a believer about "uncrippled" Rybka 4 you might as well be a believer of a Rybka that allows changing the piece values for the future.

That would be the best for us. :-)

But if Vas does not cripple Rybka 4 UCI then, how he will bet and gain with his rental Rybka?

Will his rental Rybka work even with R4 being weaker? I'm not sure, but I hope the best for Vas.

Seems that some other engineships just introduced this... and someone on their wiki was complaining that they did it wrong. :-P

the weight of the pieces change according to their outpost... among other things
