Parent - - By Jonas (****) [at] Date 2009-07-26 23:42
looking foward to see this. plaing inferior moves in an inferior position doesnt sound so loose ;)
Parent - By Uly (Gold) [mx] Date 2009-07-26 23:48
This is serious: We're having a fight on what winning variation to follow!
Parent - - By NATIONAL12 (Gold) [gb] Date 2009-07-26 23:50

Dare I say, "Ponder hit"? :)
Parent - - By deka (****) [ee] Date 2009-07-27 13:32
We, unlike theam A, do not blindly follow ponder hits and try to squeeze as much possible out of a position. :)
Parent - - By Uly (Gold) [mx] Date 2009-07-27 14:05
Let's see what strategy wins in the end!

So, Nat12 at what move do you think they'll resign? Or do you think they'll play on until we checkmate them?

This is not trash talking! We're winning for real! :)
Parent - - By Jonas (****) [at] Date 2009-07-29 09:48
when game is finished ill start registration for forum 24h/move round tournament (no teams or 1 player/team). every game will be played at the same time :)
Parent - - By deka (****) [ee] Date 2009-07-29 11:08
Team B has deserved another game with white pieces before.
Parent - - By Jonas (****) [at] Date 2009-07-29 11:33
you should ask team a :) guess they agree
Parent - - By NATIONAL12 (Gold) [gb] Date 2009-07-29 12:09
we should play 2 games, that is only fair to all players involved.
Parent - By Jonas (****) [at] Date 2009-07-29 12:37
ill quit the tournament then and wait until your 2nd game is finished
Parent - - By Uly (Gold) [mx] Date 2009-07-29 13:16

Keoki, when you going to take a vacation and visit me up north? If you come on a Thursday we can meet at the "Books a Million" store in Bossier for some OTB chess. The Shreveport Chess Club meets at "Barnes and Nobles" in Shreveport on Wednesdays and "Books a Million" on Thursdays. I go on Thursday's sometimes when one of Vas's buddies from college(LM Sonny Kamberi) sometimes shows up and plays. LM Sonny Kamberi is currently the highest rated player in our state at 2369(USCF) and his last FIDE rating was 2279 I believe. If you stay the weekend you can come up to my casino and play some poker or even plan a fishing trip on Cross Lake. :)

Sounds great. I usually go to Pensacola.  My wife has a niece that has a house on the beach there.  Sometimes we stay there or rent a condo for a week.  Depends on how many are going to be there that week.  My son wants me to visit him in Denver.  He is supposed to be coming down this winter to deer and duck hunt.  Plus I have a pen full of beagles that I have to make arrangments to have cleaned, fed, and watered.  No easy task to get away.  I haven't been to Shreveport since I was around 25 or so. Be nice if there were a chess club around here.  Didn't know that there were any high ranked players around in the state.

> I haven't been to Shreveport since I was around 25 or so.

That is crazy, you might be the only person who lives in the state that has not been to Shreveport at least once since they built the casino's here. Even without casino's there are more places to hunt and fish around here to entice somebody to at least visit once in 40 years :) If you come up here you will have to send me a PM and let me know so I can make sure to be at the chess club that week.

Have you been to Biloxi lately?  There are some nice casinos there now.  No more low ceiling boats!
Parent - By Bobby C (****) Date 2009-08-01 08:14
I know people who work there but the last time I was there was when I lived on Keesler AFB in 2000. When I was stationed there I was not old enough to gamble so I spent most of my time in the pool halls, betting sports and road tripping to Florida.
