I found a line using idea and infinite analysis and 1 game from 1999 that seems promising for white.

Tschigorin is bad, look at the games from Steinitz against Tschigorin from the World Championship.

i think there has been a bit of AN done since those days.Ref Bronznik book on the defence. Morozevich and a number of other GMs use it occasionally , just wondered how it would fare in a computer game.

Surprisingly the line played by Steinitz was never popular again and in the book I've looked it up (by Keilhack) it was only mentioned in a little note. But it causes black serious trouble. At least my score with it is quite good and one guy from my club won a game against a 2000 Elo guy in the opening when playing the Qb3 line from Steinitz. My computer analysis gives white quite a nice advantage.

cant see this line you have chosen is any good for white.
Parent - - By keoki010 (Silver) [us] Date 2009-06-21 22:56
No, I should have played a little different on 6. Nec3 in the line I was looking at was 6.Nbc3.  That was a little misstep on my part.  But you have a lot more experience in this. The line should be about 40% win for black and 20 for White.

I will go ahead and resign here.  16.Nb5 or 16.0-0 would get me -0.56 but it will be a long game I think for a draw at best.  Good game and thanks.
