Is it possible to convert the Rybka HugeBase file so I can add it to my ChessBase database? My feeling is the bigger the base the better.

you could export it to pgn and then import it in chessbase. Remember to check for duplicates :)

I have tried two different ways of doing this, one inside the Rybka GUI, and once with the online exporter on the Chess Assistant site. In the first case the program hangs up, in the second it doesn't seem to do anything.  I think I'm doing something wrong, but I can't seem to figure out what.  I've only been working with Rybka for a short time so I have a lot to learn.

The conversion process may take quite long, if it seems to do nothing, can you check cpu usage and harddisk activity? Also check if the size of the pgn file is changing. Sometimes it just looks like nothing is done. However, remember that you will get many duplicate games in the database, you need a tool to remove them (in Chess Assistant it's possible, don't know if it's possible in Chessbase, too.

You probably need to let it run overnight.  When I imported a large pgn file it took ~4 hours.

This is not true. You will end up with many many many doubles.

Yes, bigger is better...if you remove duplicates every way you can, and that means multiple passes with different settings using Chessbase.  When you're talking millions of games you really have to have ample RAM and late-model hardware otherwise you could be looking at a multiple-day operation.
