Hello Everybody,

I just wanted to open a topic about Sedat's work according to Computer Chess and wanted to show some respect to what he does. If you feel the same way, write a message in here for him.
We all know what he has done with his website and his books and how how much he helped in this direction.

He is the most active person in Computer Chess I know.

He does a job that noone would ever think of doing.

So would you let him know that we count on him??

Best wishes

Cool Shadow

Just his published online games alone are a considerable public service.  The consistency of his effort and the transparency of his book analysis work is unique as well.  I wish he had more analysis metrics, but we should be satisfied that he even exists at all.

Here is a short list of those besides yourself that have helped me tons with providing programs, information and data for my hobby.

Vasik Rajlich, Larry Kaufman, Jeroen Noomen, Harry Schnap, Anthony Cozzie, Mark Uniacke, Harvey Williamson, Graham Banks, Werner Schüle, Kevin Frayer, Mathias Feist and F. Morsch.....

And many others before, among and after them.

Well,

I thank you guys about the nice words to Sedat,

I am a little bit sad that from all these people in this forum, only you wrote very nice words.
It seems that the others don't like his personality or maybe his work, but i'm sure that they rely on his results.
It would have seen like a tragedy that  so many people use and reference to his results and advices.
His website is one of the best according to computer chess.

All the Best to all of you

I love computers and i like chess!!!

Sedat does a fantastic job, I agree 100%. Really nice to see him back again after his short retirement.

There are lots of other people too, who give their time freely. Freeware engine authors, GUI builders etc. Their generosity is hugely appreciated.
