holy crap does Hiarcs moderation suck. i've never seen a forum run like a dictatorship and it's been very long since i've been reduced to this.. one thing is sure, after this is done, i'm not going to make a habit out of posting there. (no wonder that although i've joined that forum only recently, i'm already in the top 30 in the most active users EVER...).

We removed pictures of disabled and disfigured people that had been posted as so called trash about the Hiarcs forum v Rybka forum match, We also deleted some crap about the match that was posted in a thread about the release of Mac Hiarcs 12.1. We would not trash the threads that Vas and Larry are runnig about Rybka 3 - and certainly not with pictures of real people suffering. Of course we may post the odd recipe sometimes but are always careful where we post such culinary delights.

Does your forum software have the ability to branch content and then merge it with another thread? That's what we do around here (instead of deleting the content.)

yes we have moved several posts but when posts are being made after several warnings what can you do? I am sure if I had copied some of those pictures here you would have deleted them also. Making fun of disabled/disfigured people is not my idea of humour. Most of the posts are funny but a couple of your members seem more interested in posting this rubbish rather than just playing a friendly game of Chess.

Nobody was making fun of disabled/disfigured people--you really are exaggerating quite nicely to try to make the Rybka people look bad; I guess it's the next best thing when white's position is deteriorating...

The picture posted was posted by tomski after your captain at the time posted a picture of marijuana girls, calling them tomski, myself, and Paul.  I personally thought this was okay.  tomski's response was a "picture" of your captain "after the party" as a very ugly old woman smoking a cigarette, with the implication that this is what cigarettes do to people.  She was simply a very ugly old woman.  First, the picture wasn't making fun of the woman in the picture--it was making fun of your captain.  As a response to his post, that was fine.  What was NOT fine was Steve then saying that the woman was actually tomski's girlfriend.  I complained about this, and Steve acted as though the line was the ugliness of the picture, and now this seems to have evolved into making fun of people with disabilities.  When I complained about this and then asked exactly where his line was, my posts were deleted.

They're okay as long as they attack people who willingly put themselves in line for the attack.  Tomski's wife is not involved in this game; if the post said that it was a picture of myself, I probably would have chuckled about some sort of projective vision on the Hiarcs side--but if it was said to be a picture of my girlfriend, I would have been extremely angry.
