I cannot find any information to explain the differences between the 2019 and 2018 versions of Aquarium. Is it really worth buying the new version?

I purchased the new version to get the update to the games in Hugebase.
This is a lot less expensive than buying the new version of Chessbase, and the 2 databases are nearly identical at the level of modern games by professional players.

You also get online access to 7 man tablebases, and some online instructional stuff, but I have not seen any differences in Aquarium itself.

OK, thanks. I already have chessbase etc so won't bother with AQ19.

I have 2018 and 2019; my answer would simply be no, there isn't anything worth upgrading and I think I probably wasted my money. I also have Chessbase with a very-well-kept-up-to-date-database. As a matter of fact, there are a few bugs in 2019 that I didn't experience in 2018.
