There are missing even a few cute guys: Ruben, Sedat, David Evans , Mark_Eldridge, Michael_Glatthaar and more....
Maybe 2017 i return
I really do hope 2017 will be the return of David Evans.
BTW i won the William Mason Championship and British Championship in the same season a couple of weeks back.

Great work!, seems you entered your golden corr-age.
Many of us continue to check in. I am sure that even Vas takes a glance now and then.
Posts have really plummeted, not because of the lack of visitors, just the lack of interest and involvement.
I also promoted the group over in Russia and dozens more came over, facebook can handle some game graphics, but I am looking into new solutions occasionally
Uly my almost-buddy , where are ya?
Best regards to all!
You always played a very aesthetically-pleasing style with interesting new ideas, i really enjoyed that. What are your plans in 2018? Playing ICCF, preparing freestyle or just having fun? Did you let your Aquarium-box run over the last few years? The sad news is that we are just analyzing&optimizing into different forms of draws and a lot of people (like in this forum) already left the "scene" for good... i also took a few years "in the woods" as your country-pal called it. There is a guy working to kill the French alltogether (and he is doing that 365 days/year down to three in the night!), do you still have trust in yours? Best, Anton.
Thank you very much for your kind words! I turnned off my Aquarium box back in 2013 I think. I am seeing that lots of people in the forum are not posting anymore (Paul, Garvin, Mark and others...). What do you mean that you are just analyzing for draws??
I checked the link to the french guy but unfortunately it is all german language and I didn't google translated yet. Is he analyzing my french lines day and night ?
At the moment my plans are just having fun again, now I am trying to understand main changes in engines, software, analysis techniques and even hardware! Hopefully chess has not changed so much!

Mark is still there, but a lot great guys (Nelson, ...) are sadly missing - and i guess most won't return.

Engines are so strong nowadays that some ICCF GM-games played a few years ago already look like played without one. I also have gone through a few of my old games and analysis, and they realize things quickly which earlier you had to really work on hard.
He stated, armed with heavy hardware, that he is working on crushing the French and it doesn't look very good for Black - and i think that's already a consens in the corr-world... but already there i thought about you!, as you always shown to have a great understanding about that queenside-expansion and that engine eval's are not the whole story.

Enjoy your journey!, and when there are questions, please let us know.

Take a look at the FICGS CHAMPIONSHIPS, for example, with the exception of the one involving Arkadiusz Wosch, who was clearly subpar, this is the last win we ever saw:
1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 a6 6.h3 e5 7.Nde2 h5 8.g3 Be6 9.Bg2 Nbd7 10.O-O Be7 11.Be3 Rc8 12.a4 O-O 13.a5 Re8 14.Qd2 Rc7 15.f4 Bc4 16.Rfd1 Qc8 17.f5 d5 18.exd5 Bd6 19.Re1 Nc5 20.g4 hxg4 21.hxg4 Nxg4 22.Ng3 Bb5 23.Bg5 Na4 24.Nce4 Bc5+ 25.Nxc5 Rxc5 26.Ne4 Rxc2 27.Qd1 Rxg2+ 28.Kxg2 Qxf5 29.Rxa4 f6 30.Bd2 Qh5 31.Rh1 Qg6 32.Ng3 f5 33.Rxg4 fxg4 34.Re1 Qf7 35.Bc3 Rf8 36.Qd2 1-0
That makes a total of 72 consecutive draws, that's what he's talking about.
It's great to hear from you again. Hopefully at some stage we might see play a few games on here.
The traffic slowed down on here since the WBCCC tours ended. Maybe it's time for someone to start the WBCCC tours again and get all the old players back?
