Hi
I use Rybkav2.3.2a.w32 on different interfaces, like chess partner 5.4, Arena, and Shredder. I have 1.25  GB RAM and intel celeron CPU 2.53  GHz.
I'd like to know how to set Rybkav2.3.2a.w32 on its maximum level on these interfaces. For example on which time control can I get Rybkav2.3.2a.w32 's maximum level???? or settings like Nalimov cache, contempt, hash..........
And how strong is Rybkav2.3.2a.w32 comparing to other engines???

Thanks

Best regards.

On your system, I would set the hash table size to 256, or 512 maximum if only one engine is running. As for the Nalimov cache, it is not very important but 16 MB will not be wrong (it will not have measurable influence).

Rybkas maximum level is: eternal per move :-) Jokes aside, Rybka plays of course stronger the more calculation time is available and the faster the computer is. But that is the same for all engines, although some gain a little more and some a little less, from more time and/or speed.

See the websites of CCRL and CEGT, which offer a big variety of ratings lists from different time controls, 1/2/4 CPUs, 32 or 64 bit...
