I've got Fedora Core 6 64 bit running now, I'm just wondering if someone would care to post a howto on how to get Rybka working under wine with a native linux interface?  I don't know where to start, to tell you the truth.  Help is much appreciated.  Thanks.

That's not easy, I also don't know how to do this. You would have to use the "wine .../Rybka(...).exe" instead of the path to the engine, but I don't know if this is possible.
Just use Windows GUIs , then you don't have problems :)

So, is running Arena and Rybka 64 bit under wine possible? i know it is possible for 32 bit Linux distro's

Rybka 64 bit... I don't know... try it :)
