Very good! - The next game will be especially exiting I hope, with Rybka's f7 pawn missing :-)
In his first match, GM Benjamin started with 7.e4 Nh6 8.d4 Nf7 9.Nf3, and achieved a short draw by repetition (27 moves total).

Yes. The next game will be very interesting, I think. I believe that he won't leave this opportunity and he will attempt to win there.
Hope that he can equal the match today.

Larry Dzindzi seems well prepared for this match. He is doing better than most that have faced Rybka it seems. How do we account for this is it his "homework" or just experience with playing computers you think?
It may be Rybka's style that the GM simply plays well against
It is a lot of experience.
Also, their safe and solid style always has been appropriate for play against machines - like a ring to the finger for these difficult challenges-. But their good results of course, is mainly due by his good experience.

One factor is that he is simply less busy than Ehlvest and Benjamin, so he had much more time to study Rybka's games and play against her. But another big factor is that he gets the White pieces every game. At least compared to the Ehlvest match, when he got all Black pieces with the same time limit, this is a huge difference.
It seems that Roman can see more when the Position is simplified. Roman always go for Rook endings where he is very good at. Computers are bad at Rook endings.
Dzindzi played again solidly and chose a very safe opening today. In fact, He chose an opening where some years ago he obtained good results against the best programs.
I wonder why didn't choose to play yesterday in the same way.

So, I guess it didn't work this time around :):):)

What can be offered to a program instead of drinks?
High voltage electricity? Or possibly some untested update with new super-evaluation.

Through a well cooled and overclocked processor.
Victor, it looks like the high voltage electricity (
Through a well cooled and overclocked processor), new super evaluation, and Larry with the drinks didn't work again. I bet Dzindzi prefered to go to the Roman's lab rather go out for the drinks. :)
Now, It seems that Game 06 will be a draw.
