Is there a way to change the piece symbols to just regular Q,R,N, B   ??
Maybe I just have some setting screwed up , but I can't figure out how to change them.......
Thanks for any help..............

Yes, there is a way, you can edit the chess font of chess assistant and replace the symbols with standard letters. In the new Rybka GUI there will also be an option to change that.
For Chessplanet I think there's no such option, but I can give you the font created by me, it works fine under Linux but is not tested under Windows, make a safety copy of the original font.

Great  !!   It worked !!    I'm using the Chess Assistant Club program to watch the  Rybka- Dizindi match on a Windows machine.   I loaded your chess font into my regular system fonts folder, then when in the CAC program clicked Options---Interface--Console Styles , then dialed up CA Chess (yours) in the  Font box , and clicked  -- OK   .......Presto.......all works fine !!    Where do I send the $ 1.79 ??   It's worth more than that.........I'll send you $ 5 .......
For general info :   To add a font to your system font folder : (Windows XP)
1.  Click Start, and then click Run.
2.  Type %windir%\fonts, and then click OK.
3.  On the File menu, click Install New Font.
4.  In the Drives box, click the drive that has the floppy or CD-ROM that contains the fonts you want to add. If you are installing fonts from a floppy disk, this is typically drive A or drive B. If you are installing the fonts from a compact disc, your CD-ROM drive is typically drive D. Double-click the folder that contains the fonts.
5.  Click the font you want to add. To select more than one font at a time, press and hold down the CTRL key while you click each font.
6.  Click to select the Copy Fonts To Fonts Folder check box. The Windows\Fonts folder is where the fonts that are included with Windows are stored.
7.  Click OK.

Many Thanks !!

Keep your money and spend it for the next Rybka (+GUI of course ;) ) that will make me happy ;)
Btw., the font used is Open Serif, which looks better than the standard font used by Chess Assistant (at least under Linux).
