Hello, i have a problem: I cannot run the program Jose Chess Version 1.4.4 with Rybka 2.3 eventhough there is no problem with Rybka 2.2. Can someone help me? Thank you.

-can you describe your problem?
-what OS are you running?
-are you sure you got an original copy of rybka 2.3?

I cannot remember exactly now, but I think it worked on linux. Jose chess is nice looking and you can run it in any OS. Unfortunately, it does not load .ctg books, and many important features are (still?) missing,

Yes, Jose Chess is really nice also with 3D board and you can download it for free. I dont know if my Rybka 2.3 is the original but i bought it from a software house in Germany, so i didnt buy it brom rbyka.com. But in the cd i bought were also the version Rybka 2.1 and 2.2. With this versions there is no problem only with 2.3.

I am afraid I cannot help. There are a few bugs on rybka2.3. A first 2.3.1 bugfix version is out, and a 2.3.2 will be soon available. If you register, you can get the updates for free. I suggest you to wait still a week or so (you can definitely survive with 2.2n2 for 10 days!) and then download 2.3.2 and try with that one. If you want to improve rybka strength on your computer, you can also download the arena

Oh, forgot that. Of course you have the original rybka. I asked, because many people download faked commercial engines from emule, and then they wonder why they don't work

Hi,

I believe that this problem is due to a known bug in Rybka 2.3 and 2.3.1 which will be fixed with Rybka 2.3.2.

If you send me an email (vrajlich at yahoo dot com), we can verify it before the release.
