When I play OTB, I can hold my own against players my own age or older but usually get crushed by kids (as young as 10 of either sex). By all accounts they spend most of their time playing against Fritz and including its moves in their repatoires They never play normal openings (ie the ones I know). Does any one know of an anti-Fritz opening book? It might come in handy for me (Aquarium or ctg format). Cheers!

my friend, instead of looking about an 'anti-Fritz' opening book,i think you must start studying tactics...

from what are you telling, you losse because the kids are better than you playing chess,so even if you memorize the entire book, what you will do when you will be out of book?

so if you want an advice, study tactics instead of memorizing openings

Hi irulats,

is there any chance you could provide the PGN of a few of your recent games?   I'd like to take a look at them.

I agree with Barnard that an "anti-Fritz" book will just be a waste of your study time.

he told he losse against 'kids' aged 10 years,of boths sexes...so or all of those kids are genius memorizing openings and all of them have photographic memory,or simply, the kids play unusual moves (simply wrong opening moves),and they win their games because they are stronger than him

so i think is more plausible that they are stronger than him, than all of them are genius with photographic memory

study tactics, and when he improve tactics, study strategy...im sure he will improve his chess too much than studying openings;memorizing a complet book is a waste of time if you havent an according high play strenght

He seems to take our discussions much more seriously than I do, I'd never have changed my name to Jerry just to win a discussion.

Hi, Homayoun_Sohrabi_MD, sorry for the delay in replying to you. I had 2 big interviews recently as well as a pile of work. I'm now shattered. Believe it or not, I never got round to typing up my last games yet. I'll give it a go over the next few days and will post them here.

I have twice lost to these kids who memorize the whole NCO and BCO without knowing what is for what. U make slight error and they find cheap tactics.
So I have prepared some gambits which will put them in dillemma and the positional understanding matters. I have played Evans gambit and Kings Muzio Gambit with success.
As theier coach asks to memorize the main lines of popular openings they fell off the chair When I sac something.

Om,even if they can memorize the whole opening encyclopaedia, better than Kasparov,if they dont play a good chess (i mean play at lets say,at 2000 elo level),they wont we able to beat you...if they can memorize the whole encyclopaedia, but they are patzers, they must losse

Remember Well begun is half done.
In otb psychology plays a part. If one plays from memeory and another thinking every move , sooner or later they will be in time trouble. That
is a deciding factor most of the time IN OTB.
Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-05-06 04:15
well,i can assure you that if you opponent is a patzer, you can start playing b3,next move g3,and out of theory

of course,if is a patzer...i recall about it since he stated he losses against kids aged 10 years...one of them can be a genius, but all the others for sure are are patzers

Who said that!!. Thats a main line opening.
Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-05-06 04:28
out of theory for the kids, not out of thery in general Om,as im sure the kids wont study that

I am something specific. Its the Approach.
For example see this game of my student IM Anwesh Upadhya in Dubai Open against GM A Fedorov.

My student played Petroff Defence as he never lost that opening against playing strong players including many GMs.
He was happy with da draw. But look how Fedorov beat him without doing anything but took 25-30 mins at move 4!!!!!

Om,be serious, how are you going to give chess clases to an IM?to do that, you must be at least a better IM or a GM
Parent - - By Master Om (*****) [in] Date 2012-05-07 13:49
I used to teach chess when He started as a novice. Now in 5 years he is an IM. But I still work as a second for him.
Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-05-07 15:19

Parent - - By Master Om (*****) [in] Date 2012-05-08 00:47

Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-05-08 00:52

Parent - - By Master Om (*****) [in] Date 2012-05-08 01:08
GM timoshenko sponsored by father. he plays at playchess and wins hundreds of ducats. Pays 50 Ducat to Avrukh for training like free.
Parent - - By Barnard (Bronze) Date 2012-05-08 01:39
fathers...a blessing of God

but if he pays 50 ducats to Avrukh, what means you assertion ''for training like free''?
Parent - - By Master Om (*****) [in] Date 2012-05-08 04:55
He gets the ducats by beating others where he starts from 0 to 5 challenge.
