Here I do share Nelson's view.
Aquarium is, for a skilled power user, a game changer for a CC player. Revolutionary is pretty much the correct word.

Well, didn't you use it with 52 computers? Have you tried with only one?

Yep - works best for 'power' users :)
Wish I had time to play... But I can't do things half-assed - when I play I play to win - and this takes considerable energy and time, that I can't afford into this hobby in the foreseeable future.

Though my view (and style) would be to break away from known theory as early as possible, and take some risk aiming for structure where I get space / initiative towards long term plans that engines can't fathom.
It works only in the first 10-12 moves. If you haven't reached a position with some unbalance and a chance for the opponent to go wrong within these moves - most chances when you play vs. a strong opponent would be a draw. Engines are just too powerful when you get into early middle game without a chance having been created earlier.

Exactly. The only difference in our views is that you would look for "imbalance" based on visual/intuitive impressions, while I would look for moves that have lower draw-rates and don't sacrifice too much on the evaluation side. Same goal, different approaches. Correspondence players with contemporary tools get at the most correct answers; all my book could offer would be some interesting ideas.
As we all know you have a big hardware, I just wanted to know your views on Rybka and Houdini and Komodo.
As u yourself a power user in Idea i would like to know your views on using them in Idea. Which one u feel is a better suited for analysis in terms of quality and not elos ?

I never used (even once) Houdini or Komodo. Only Rybka. Though probably if I were to start playing again, I would spend a few weeks learning another engine or two (before I use them in a competitive game).
Don't forget Critter as it's a top dog and an engine you want to use specially if you analyze with many engines instead of just one.
What so special About Rybka ?. Why dont you try Houdini 1.5a and tell us. Your input is very important from analysis experience point of view.

Still deep in book. Black with 43.8% and 39.5% draws.
Here is what I take to be the verdict from 'official human theory' about this line:
For a start, the most popular line against a g3 Queen's Indian involves Ba6; so it seems that with this slightly non-standard move order, white tricked his opponent into the Bb7 line.
However, a variation which is deemed to be more promising than the one in the game is reached by 5.d4 Be7 6.Nc3 (Ne4 7.Bd2 etc.). So 5.0-0 is already an arguable decision.
Then, both 7.Re1 and the gambit-line 7.d5 are considered to be more ambitious than 7.Nc3.
The line played in the game (where 8.Qc2 is more common than Qd3, but the standard position was reached anyway) is considered to be rather harmless for black; white only has a minimal advantage, if any.
Okay, this was from the (or at least my) 'human theory' perspective; I am curious to hear what the database and the players have to say about the opening.
Edit: Forgot to add: One potential drawback of 5.d4 is that (unlike the move in the game) it allows a pretty sharp line starting with 5...c5, which seems to have come into fashion recently.

i will reply to this later in the game and explain my reasons for my play.
Hi Kappatoo i said i would reply when game was over,i had looked at Dazzle last game and could find no way forward at the time against his passive play in Grunfeld ie 5...c6,and decided to play slightly differently, after the moves.
1.Nf3 i will list moves for casual observer Nf3 2.c4 b6 3.g3 Bb7 4.Bg2 e6,you have no complaint until now i beleve and wished to know why i played 5.0-0.I could have quite easily have played d4,in fact this was database recomendation however from what i can see the line i played transposed back into mainline.
5.0-0 Be7 6.d4 you cant complain about blacks 6...0-0,now you rate d5 and 7.Re1 ,i could not find much with d5 but had a good look at 7.Re1 as database gave 57% for this move. However this was only against certain bad lines after either 7...h6 7...d5 or 7...c5 i could find nothing and i am sure Dazzle would have played one of them.
now i played 7.Nc3 and faced normal QID which i play myself.
Lets face it i just played wrong opening against Dazzle and should have played 1.e4.

Not necessarily. According to traditional wisdom, in the position after 5.d4 Be7 it is slightly better to play 6.Nc3 than to castle, and then after ...Ne4 7.Bd2. This is supposed to be a bit more inconvenient for black than the line you played. Black's position is in any case quite solid, of course.
As you are well aware, there are many solid lines against 1.e4 as well. It's just very difficult to get something from the opening nowadays.
From a human perspective, it was an interesting and slightly unorthodox game. The only thing which can be frustrating about playing such games is that one keeps analyzing and desperately looks for playable positions, but ultimately only finds draw lines.
