I have added Deep Shredder to my IDeA engines and have set the Count as 4. The engine has a default of 4 threads. (Should it be set to 1 thread for IDeA use with a count of 4?)
However, when IDeA is run, only 2 (of 4) cores are shown as being used.

yes
Yeah, the aim is to get Shredder running on a single core but 4 instances of the program running (one on each core).
So you don't need "deep shredder" - it's not being used in MP mode.
The things with your cores is weird - can you post a screen shot showing how IDeA is setup?

Unfortunately, Stefan sent me only Deep Shredder when I bought the program, since I did not anticipate using it for IDeA.
my friend, buy a 'deep' version to run it under IDeA is a non sense, since you payed more money for nothing...you must buy the single version if you can, will be cheaper, and at least Shredder 12 has the single core version
Hi Barnard:
In 2010 I bought the MP version for Infinite Analysis. However, yesterday I wanted to try it in IDeA since I did not have the single-engine version. Perhaps the single-engine version would have been included with DS 12 if I had asked for it.

im sure Stefan will send the single core version of Shredder if you explain him why you need it,just write him and explain
Here is a screen shot of the IDeA engine setup.

cma as long as you set the threads or processes to 1, whichever Shreddar uses, it should be ok. I would setup a seperate project for each engine though, as otherwise you will be making a vegatable salad with all the different engines storing their analysis in the same tree. Just my take on this.
