This last move, taking out light bishops from the board, was the reason of 43...Qe7.

I see so you wil handover the initiative to me. I my have the dark square bishop but your light squares will be more vunerable after the exchange. I will play some boombastic moves in the queenside, if given a chance because of the absence of the bishop there :wink:

practically i've thought this quite likely a draw since the f-file opened based on what with Black IMO better poised to cover the light squares and White controlling the only open file. i thought for sure the only break black would play for some moves earlier was g5, but that's for the postmortem.

yeah, things have changed for the better, my optical superficial assessment is that if anybody is going to win at this point it would be white. however with trades and possible further open files if white chooses anything is possible. it's also never too simple to play a position where the evals are consistently slightly negatively, so skewed in black's favor as they probably will be, i suspect consequent of black's advanced pawn chains. of course there are plusses and minuses for both sides, but with white having the only open file at the moment it now seems the onus is on him to find anything. it will be interesting to see if either player can find something constructive here.

friday i will have some free time. we played 12 games at 3/0 a few days back. nat won 7-5 i believe, very entertaining games. objectively i think we played a bit loose, and i guess i should be playing the early middlegame faster and my play in king's indian structures needs work. i got the impression that natmaku maybe is not so used to playing french with black? reasonably quality games, quite tactical, and nat was very proficient here, my impression is that we played similar brand of chess.

Yes, I think I know your plan since a few moves ago, I dont expect any surprise in the next half dozen of moves or so, the game should go to a draw despite my slight advantage. First, there are a few obstacles to beat on both sides, though
