Starting date: Play will start Saturday February 4th GMT 1am. We will be using a rotating GMT starting time, so the second set of games will start at 5am GMT. Exact starting date to be decided near the end of the first games.

Time Control: 30 days initial time plus 1 hr increment from move one till end of the game

Number of Games: 12 games, or round robin depending on entries

Myself will be thinking about it till deadline (well, would love to...), but my examination tests this year plus my limited resources may better leave me seconding someone or being just spectator.

Edit: You will win again anyway José!, NATIONAL12 and maybe Ruben Comes close followers, then a group with Sebastian Boehme, Mark Eldridge, keoki010, Barnard and maybe omprakash and Uly having a chance to close up to this second group... and all others of course should be motivated to surprise positively! :-)

I meant both of you, it is always better to have the stronger players in the tournament! If you are still thinking about it, I really hope you can finally join us.

Thank you very much for your support, but there are a number of reasons that make me think this tournament is going o be much harder for me. Also, this time I will test a totally different approach in my analysis method and workflow, and results will be a surprise even for me. Starting the swiss tournament as #1 also forces me to make some adjustments in my overall strategy, mainly in first two rounds.

Pitty that we don't have more players, this tour is IMO the best one you can find in the net.

Well, not as regularly as I would like, but trying to find the optimql method is also part of my fun. During the first part of this year I am not having a lot of free time to interact with my computer, that is why I have been testing a new method during last months, that needs much less human interaction. It is not a trivial thing to do, as you may know, because it also affects to opening repertoire and some other critical matters.

This is not that I don't believe in my method that gave me victory last edition, it is just that I need to make some changes assuming that I will have less chess time... at least till July or August.

If it stays at 15, it will probably be a round robin anyways, swiss will not work well with 15 and 12 rounds with withdrawals and what not. So the extra one person joining to make even numbers is not that relevant.

But we always want more entries, more the merrier :) so if you want to join mocha, feel free, just say the word that you want to join and I will send you the information for our playing platform and how to play a few test games on xfccplay before entries close on Feb 1st.
