Perhaps some of you should make a resolution to treat Bob Hyatt with a little more respect. Even if you disagree with the ICGA decision against Rybka, the way Bob's been treated in this forum is pretty disgusting.   :red:

I really was hoping we could keep this thread clear of a flame war!

Per your sentiment. I do not intend to judge others motivations and actions. I can only try and be the master of my own.

Bob is a big boy and had every opportunity to theoretical "walk away" from any of the discussions  he might have  felt had become disgustingly abusive toward his person.

But he felt it more important to stay and continue to repeatedly give the same message he's been stating since he arrived 4000 posts ago.

4000 posts with out conceding a single conceptual idea regarding the ICGA report.

It is easy for him to stay here and egg on those members who try and argue what they see as valid points- only to have him simply deny the existence of  their validity.  I've been there where it is hard to pull back when you have reached the end of your rope.

Bob has come to represent an adversarial point of view here. It might take his stepping back to cool the flames. I think he knows exactly what he is about.

I've posted him a personal New Years salutation on the Edge and he was gracious to post one to me in kind.
