No don't do it! 19. Kh1 is approved also. I just forgot to mention it!
Btw I'm not sure how active I'll be the upcoming week. With chrismas coming up and all that.

Whoa! I think my message vanished
, I don't know what happened, but I'll try to reconstruct it:
But I gotta make you pay for... something...
I know! Remember this game?

There White convinced Red of not exchanging pieces, and then, when it was convenient for White, BAM!
So, if I manage to win this, it'll be for that Red Bishop
See you then, have a nice week!

Uly, I'm very sorry that I have abandoned this game, but I can't find the time to continue. From what I remember my position was very bad and the most likely outcome was a white win. Good luck for your future games!
> I can't find the time to continue.
No problem! Let's continue this game whenever you have the time

I hope this "not having time" isn't going to last for life, is it?

I can wait for years if necessary, after all, I have plenty of waiting games like this.
So don't hurry up! But I'd like to wait for you to continue some day, even if it's a much later point in time.
That's how I know Uly.

Not the move I expected.
Seemed the only chance for a win, as in the other one I could blow out the variations to high scores, but with a lot of material swapped, and only drawn endgames in sight. So I had to go back and find something else, this being it.
The problem now is that I have so many 0.00 variations to choose from.
Someone will be up for a surprise soon then.
If rybka shows me 0.18 evaluation in a dead drawn B+2P endgame I read that as 0.00 btw.
I've pruned such endgames long ago, though
I'll take another look then.
How is it going Uly?
Oh, I apologized in advance for slow play to new opponents I started games against but not against old opponents
2 new WBCCC games just started and they're games with a clock so I've been trying to not fall off with them. Don't be surprised if I take very long to move.
As for the position on this game, there are some very nice variations where I think I could pull off a win, though I doubt you'll let me reach them!

I see you have your hands full with Ruben! Don't worry take your time. Our position is very complex with all pieces still on the board, the tension is rising. The more I look at it the more I believe I can hold a slightly worse endgame in all lines.
Yes, that's why I didn't accept your game abandonment back in June, as you said it was very bad and white win was very likely outcome, but I said no way! I still don't see the win!
The more I look at it the trickier it gets. I may have to swindle my way into one of those +0.85 endgames with a pawn down where it’s unclear if the evaluation stays like that or simply fails low on me 30 moves ahead.
Just letting you know that as of now I'm done with listening to the engines. It seems a lot of human intervention is needed in this position. If I can save this I will be patting myself on the back for a week or so.
All that engines want to do here is push my queenside pawns in search for counterplay, but when go down the lines I simply lose those pawns in all variations.

Yes, but white also has this problem
, I could easily draw against the engine's top lines as black, because they play both sides poorly.Scores just don't mean much in several of these variations.
I need your help here Uly. Should I play the lines where the evaluation very slowly drops but they lead to almost surely lost positions. Or should I lash out and play the lines that drop fast but look better and may lead to a drawn position.
The former!
My attempt.

I bet that’s not the move you expected.
But I had wins for Qc8 in other branches, I'll see if I can transpose to them, whenever I have time to continue analysis.
Let's hope not!
I've been sitting on that position for about 30 hours worth of analysis. I could even tell you which endgames lose, just based on pawn structure, and that’s almost all engames which is the pain of this position. Imo Qc8 is the only practical chance to maybe draw.

I have the same problem. I never know what attack you're going to run.
