Thanks for the games Sedat, good work! A long way to go yet but ... c'mon Sequoia! (I checked the book, fortunately there are some alternatives in my black rep. 36% is not good enough. 77% for white is not bad but can't be held).

Dear Chess Friends,
This is the Final day...the tournament is expected to be completed tomorrow
We have at least TOP 10 participants and any of them can be the Champion of SCCT
Note also that almost all participants points and strength are very close to each other
In other words,that means:
-how the books are very strong
-no experimental books
-all books are very well-optimized
-each book is playing for the 1st place
-almost all books winning percentage is approx.50%
*One thing more, the opening books (which play without learning) have less chances to take the 1st Rank

Sequoia moving up :)
All the leaders are so tightly bunched, any one of 7 or 8 books could win. Your polyglot entry is doing superbly considering that it can't switch lines on result (assuming Sedat is not using polyglot learning), which makes your high place all the more of an achievement. Well done!
sequoia is binbook?
No, the version I sent to Sedat is in ctg (chessbase) format.
Thank you! I actually did some work with it :)
I wonder if the polyglot learn feature actually works though. I have it set in online plays, but not really sure if it works.

I noticed

Yes it works, the last 4 bytes of every 16 byte entry in the polyglot book contain learning information. If there is any in there, and you have the right version of polyglot, then it'll use it.
You need to make sure:
1) Polyglot has write access to the book (usually it does on Windows systems)
2) the booklearn=true directive is BEFORE the bookfile= directive in polyglot.ini otherwise there will be an error when the learning information is attempted to be written to the book
3) You are using the right version of polyglot
See: http://talkchess.com/forum/viewtopic.php?topic_view=threads&p=431181&t=40930
And Winboard 4.5 is here: http://www.open-aurec.com/wbforum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=51528
(winboard contains a version of polyglot which is possibly the version to use with Harm Geet's enhanced learning algorithm). Would need to check with him (and maybe Michel) about which is the best polyglot version to use.
For SCCT ctg book authors, Sedat gives the choice for them to ask for learning to be enabled or not, and it's possible to give the same choice to polyglot book makers,
Thanks man!
I actually have done all those things, so I guess it works...
I guess next time I'll tell Sedat to put up that learn feature, so maybe it can do better :)
EDIT: Does the learn function work under Fritz GUI?
