Now that the forum software is getting updated, I wanted to suggest this.
I found it very displeasing to navigate threads that had many pages, and the thread was active when I was reading it. For example, if I was reading page 3, and something was posted on it, when I went to page 4 I would see again a post that I read on page 3, and the new post that appeared on page 3 (replacing the read one) would be unnoticed. And things get worse once I reach page 5 and many replies have been posted on previous pages. I have to browse the thread's pages over and over searching for new posts.
(This only happened when I came back from my vacation and tried to read a long thread, taking a lot of time to read each page and new posts were being posted on read pages, on forum software that displays new posts at the bottom this doesn't happen, nor post indent taking more than 50% of the page...)
A good solution was to set every thread to 200 posts per page, since then, everything goes to 1 page, and when I finish reading it, I know that all new replies will still appear on that same page, and they're easy to find. But a new problem appeared with long threads like 'Another Chess Engine This One Is " Belka "' that contains more than 400 posts, and made 3 pages appear, so I feel uncomfortable surfing that thread (And I will when surfing long threads on the future.)
So my suggestion is to allow more than 200 posts per page, or even better, an option to allow all posts to appear on the same page (Or an option to allow new posts to appear in chronological order).
Thank you.

I agree wholeheartedly.
Being able to decrease the post indent to less than 1% would be nice too.

Well, with the option of chronological order, indent is not needed anymore. And people that do like the current Threaded+Flat style wouldn't need to switch anything, so everyone would be happy.
