Hello,

I have installed the latest version of Rybka in Aquarium with Rybka 4 opening book and huge database. I have also downloaded 2010 chess opening encyclopedia separately.

How do you make these work together so that the actual names of the variations pop up on screen while studying an ongoing game.

At the moment everything else is working except a weird color bug on moves.

So I have the move trees with database moves but I don't know how to get the names of the variations displayed. For example: "Sicilian Najdorf Lambda attack..."

Thank you!

Aquarium has no variation names inside. Only about 40 well-known names. Really we never considered this as important. It is hard to remember a lot of names of variations. The same time it is easy to reach desired position using tree.

Possibly with the next Aquarium release this can be included.

I cannot see any name on any variation played in any way in Aquarium with any book or database, not even "Sicilian Najdorf" for instance.

Maybe I am missing something, but what?

Here is the screenshot with "Sicilian Najdorf" from the standard Aquarium package. But in common I agree that Aquarium should provide more names and bettter tools for working with them. There is full framework for this inside Aquarium but it is not proper presented in the interface. Will be considered for the nearest release.

Select the Annotations tree config, go to Tree->Options. If there's no Annotations column (path:Annotations\ptcomments) add one.

And the move color bug?

Thank you I just edited my message above I did exactly what you just suggested so many settings...

The annotation problem is sorted now.

I still have a move color bug but I am unable to paste the pic in here.

Basically some moves remain in black color alternating with pink red color ones in the notation window.

This happens as you review the game moves.

Look at this link as to how to add columns for ECO codes and names.
