I have a nice variant in mind and I was wondering how this was done.

By the way, I know about http://www.chessvariants.com/, but at the bottom of its page, it says:
"WWW page created: January 1995. Last modified: October 3, 2002."

Anyway, that's the site you'd like your variant proposed, that their main page hasn't been edited in almost 9 years doesn't mean they won't accept it, hopefully.

Also, for http://www.chessvariants.com/ I get "Last modified: Monday, December 22, 2008".
