There has been some boasts and semi-challenges made during this tournament. This thread is a real challenge. Both players have to register at FICGS and buy E-points. 1 Euro =1 E-point. There are 4 different formats for CC, #1, Rapid Silver-10 E-points each entry fee, 2 games, each player get one White and one Black, winner takes all. Payments are made through FICGS using PayPal. In case of a draw (one win apiece), the money is split. Rapid time control is 30 days + 1 day increment per move. #2, Rapid Gold, same rules except that the entry fee is 100 E-points each. #3 & #4 is Class Silver & Class Gold. Only difference is time control. The Class tours are 40 days for each 10 moves, no increment.
Harvey challenged Paul and then backed off. Alex and I discussed it briefly, nothing was done. This way there is no reason not to play if you have the nerve. FICGS gets a 2% handling fee.
So in a friendly way, I hereby challenge any Rybka Forum player to any of the 4 formats, Thank you, Scott

I do not know a single person serious about their finances using ebay's bucketstore...
,wished FICGS would accept real money too...
, but guess other agreements can still be found.
Btw., am i the only one missing Garvins "move this thread, has nothing to to with WBCCC"-post?

I did not move this thread
I did because it was out of place and I didn't want to bring more friction to this thread.
My previous post was just a chuckle for SchachProfi's enjoyment (hopefully).
On the serious side, I did consider moving the thread to start with, but normally in these internet moderation issues, moderators do not moderate in the threads they are participating in. So I just left it to you to make a decision.

I support this idea, but this thread should be moved from here.
I would prefer using this forum and client software to post moves, I don't like FICGS format.

And I make the same offer to any rybka forum player in the blitz silver format. 20 moves in 1 hour, repeating time periods.
10 epoints/euros to challenge.
I would even be willing to play a match of 8 games or so.
And to those who do not know, Scott and I will not be playing each other as we have already played a 24 game match.

Scott, do you actually expect any of the big mouths from here to actually take you up on your offer?
I don't know Garvin. I just wanted to point out that if players wanted to play a match, with money or without, there is an easy and reputable place to do so. No TD is needed.
Scott, i already persuaded in my game-thread that we will play a match.
Still another long classical-chess-draw-struggle doesn't warm my heart too
much... What do you think about a little Gothic chess-challenge or some
other kind of chess variation (with way more pieces on the board)?
Ya, be a man and play Gothic chess with Alex!
(i swear that i would be my first Gothic chess games ever,
i'm just interested in it because classic chess is boring to me
with all the available resources - and even at this time-controls)

to me your comment almost sounds inappropriate...

Garvin is not just a strict rule-follower, he can heaten up things well too...
I thought this was a chess site for men, not the lady's Bridge club.
Shit! I'm in the wrong place!
Did you read my response are what are you refer(r)ing to?
