I Just noticed the "chat" feature. Is it new? How is this different than than the messages feature? Is this like an im feature?

I added to the banter.
I'm more worried about the chat logs, are those lost? Will the messages start eventually disappearing? or will new pages of old chats become accessible?
Still, a cool feature
I think it would be useful in team games to have such a feature in private (say, 3-4 people have their private chat) as sending Private messages to multiple recipients or having to create a new subforum is a hassle, the chat seems convenient.

Okay, good news, the chat log lasts more than 24 hours, now my worries are about, is the log suddenly eventually cleaned? or the page will get eventually infinitely long? or maybe lines start disappearing after a longer time frame?
