Not sure if this has been suggested before...

Why not have an option for people to send in an fen for analysis for say $5 per quad-hour, with the results emailed back within a couple days?  You could use that to fill in any gaps in cluster rental time.  Not sure what price would make sense for this, but it could probably be mostly automated.

With the cluster being a loadable engine, you could perform this analysis yourself, if the pricing scheme would allow for quarter hours. No one wants to wait several days for a gap, you could let your machine run during this time and get a better result.

I'll probably cost $1.33 for an hour on 4 cores.
