There is a computer chess subforum. Try there.

What about making it UCI so one can actually use it?

What about making it stronger? (unlike last time)

But that would make it easier for people to tell there's been precious little improvement over previous versions.  For an engine that coasts by on reputation and decade old memories, UCI is the kiss of death.  Enslaving the rubes by locking them to the UI is Chessbase's core business model!

Let's take a look at the "Fritz Development Meter"-  Not even registering the potentiality of a "Fritz 13"- sorry!

What does the meter look like for Rybka 5?

Well! It looks like Rybka 5 is essentially Rybka 4.1+  some enhancements- you'll have to wait for Rybka 6 to essentially get Rybka 5.1! (May be!)

One final reply: If the average chess person were choosing between rybka and fritz they would have to choose fritz year in and year out. Why buy a product where the opening book is shabby with no color. After forking over 50 bucks people find that to make the product worthwhile they have to purchase rybka opening book or like most people use it with there trusty fritz 13.

You're out of your mind! Fritz 13?

And the Chessbase GUI sucks up way too much resources.
Buy Aquarium!

I actually kind of enjoy Fritz 10.  Haven't made my way to Fritz 12 (and probably won't).  But I might take a gander at Fritz 13 when it comes out.

Just as even though I have yet to be impressed with Aquarium I keep looking at how it is developing because I don't close doors completely.

I think Fritz 10 and 11 are considered more user friendly- I have Fritz 12  and like I indicated soaks up a great deal of computer resources. To my knowledge there is no Fritz 13 at this time!

Stick to Fritz 10 as of now. I have Fritz 11 and love it. The main reason I am not switching to Fritz 12 is the ribbon interface.

Thanks.  I am definitely not going to purchase Fritz 12.  I am really with happy with fritz 10, shredder classic and chessbase premium light.  No need for me to upgrade anything at the current moment.
