i was wondering if there is a feature on rybka to where it is possible to take all games of one open (c54) for example and merge them in to one game creating a huge ass game of all the (c54) games in your data base-
if this is not possible it would be great for vas to include this on the next rybka- any feed back is appreciated!

Hi,
You could take a database of games of that opening and create a .ctg book from them. Then load the book and it will show the opening moves from all those games which you could play through as though it were one game. Is this what you mean ?

it's a GUI feature (chessbase 11 f.e.) not an engine feature.
no- i just wanted them to be merged in to a game and not the book-reason being is that i have noticed that filling up the book with too many moves weakens the strength of the program slightly according to my tests but the most annoying thing it does ( which rybka web masters said it wouldent) is make other book moves disappear that are not saved to your database. meaning..... there are alot of times
that i set an engine match and give each side a healthy ply, so when the game is over, there might be only 10 moves made. i dont want to fill up my auto save database with a game that only calculated 10 moves (past book moves) so i would just write them to the book to save them- then i noticed after doing this hundreds of times that some of them were disappearing- so to stop this from happening you must either save the game and over stock your database, or write the moves down so you dont lose moves till you decide there is enough to save. i think this weird issue is some kind of scam with the programmers not wanting for people to pimp their book up to play stronger- think if you had a couple of 80 core computers and you bread 2000 moves up to insane plys and then put them in your book-
your system would in essence be a bit stronger, but...ah ha...if only all the other moves that were calculated on the engine would be played as if you did not do that.... but according to my tests they dont- sad but true- its the programmers way of ensuring that other programmers who have 20-or 30,000 worth of hardware power cant try to create a stronger chess code using a rybka disc alone. in fact the true rybka code vas has is probably 300 elo stronger then the code we get- alot of people are misguided thinking, how can chess systems be like this if they have to go to competition? how is the elo a lie? its the same reason why big food manufacturers make so many different brands of the same exact thing- all marketing and devising with other sellers to generate more money total..............

can you explain how on rybka 3 step by step please
in the R 3/ Fritz 11 GUI you open a Database (1); than you select the games you want to merge (2); right click the mouse and select "merge selected games" (3)- that's it.
thanks bro, i will try it and hopefully it will work for me.
p.s i have been wondering, what do the pawns above that are high lighted mean on this forum- some people have 4 yellow pawns with one white one, some have 4 white, whats does it mean?
