Fritz GUI contains next best "Y"

EDIT - Oh yeah, I forgot about that, at least it would work by some extent, but sometime you need to exclude specific moves the engine is not showing, so "Next Best" loses time.

Alright, I think I have a plan that forces a win from this position, so once again I'll look silly and say it:

Black to move and mate in 56 moves or less

Thomas stock is an current exponent of Double muzio. 17...Rb8 is the only good move here AFAIK.

Making it official:

1. e4 e5 2. f4 exf4 3. Nf3 g5 4. Bc4 g4 5. O-O gxf3 6. Qxf3 Qf6 7. e5 Qxe5 8. Bxf7+ Kxf7 9. d4 Qf5 10. Bxf4 Nf6 11. Be5 Qxf3 12. Rxf3 Bg7 13. Nc3 d6 14. Bxf6 Bxf6 15. Raf1 Nd7 16. Nd5 Re8 17. Nxc7 Rb8 18. Nxe8 Kxe8 19. Rxf6 Nxf6 20. Rxf6 Ke7 21. Rf1 Be6

Some fun facts:

I didn't use a book or database at all, all moves were found at the board. I didn't look at 17...b6 at all, I just didn't find a defense against 17...Rb8 and went with it for that reason.

After Rf3 the postion is a hopeless endgame THAT MEANS 0-1
I resign.
Will you another Muzio with me ?

Thanks for the game, it's the most impressive opening I've played yet  (the first time I got mad because I thought you were giving up the game like that, in fact, only later on I figured you didn't).

Sure, but perhaps later on, I'm currently trying to free my game spots for the WBCCC (unsuccessfully when I can't resist starting new games ), I also have a pending game against tomski, I'll see how I manage on the WBCCC before deciding if I start these promised matches soon.

You maybe oh ok in the first 2 rounds, but if you do well and it comes likely you may score in the top ten. Then you may want to consider less games for sure.
Parent - - By Master Om (*****) [in] Date 2010-12-09 02:48
I played Bxf7 for fun and learning as I know in correspondence this looses but it still needs to be proved as i am sure I missed something somewhere. I will be waiting to play this Double muzio again with using Idea this time as IA is hopeless here. In this game I have seldom used any engine to play as I feel none understands  the compensation. Well untill then I will be analysing. Tell me when we start. I was too busy within this game.

> I will be waiting to play this Double muzio again with using Idea this time as IA is hopeless here.

Well, I used IA to win it  - I also relied exclusively on engines, as I didn't know what was going on most of the time (at the human level).

Yes, I'll tell you when I'm ready, I'll try to have max 4 games running at a time, currently I have 5 games running and I'll have to start 2 more games for the WBCCC :red:
