What's the definition of REMOTE Rybka?

And this feature on Extreme Rybka: " Use the computers on your home network or connect to computers via the Internet to increase the analysis power!" Isn't this already the idea under Remote Rybka?

Hmmm Wasn't I playing with a Rybka 3 Extreme on PCC?My re-named Rybka hehe. Using other comps via internet is interesting maybe there is an IP tool to connect addresses.

The box is misleading on several levels. It implies a different Rybka and there is no way to tell that it includes aquarium. Of course the USCF is not known for transparency...

Well, I didn't say it was the best name possible, just the best I've heard so far.

The rest are prone to misinterpretation because such words are already used in different context, I imagine conversations like:

Dude1: Do you use Rybka Online?

Dude2: Yeah, I connect to the internet and surf web pages while Rybka analyzes in the background.

Dude1: No, I mean, do you use Rybka Live?

Dude2: I use it in real time, is there another way to use it?

Dude1: Ehh, I want to know if you use Remote Rybka.

Dude2: Oh yeah, I use Rybka remotely to connect several computers and enhance my IDEA analysis.

Dude1: :mad:

...

Now:

Dude1: Do you use Rybka Extreme?

Dude2: Ah, that service of Vas where you rent hardware and get access to his latest build? Well, nope.

Dude1: Dude, where's my car?

I'd like a name that is unambiguous, though now that Extreme was already used by a Rybka related service, it's out of the question, but something like it, perhaps not as "corn ball".

I would go for Rybka 2FX (2FX goes all the way back to an early Apple computer and stands for Too Fucking Expensive).

Rybka *Extreme* insults the intelligence of its client base of course. I don't know about you but I don't usually buy something based on self-appreciating adjectives. Now, I know Rybka is a fine product and also currently the highest rated (C) program, but....wouldn't someone savy enough to buy from the USCF already know of its ultimateness. I would imagine, as a rule,
adding gimmicky superlatives to a product most likely detracts serious or professional players from purchases.

It seems like a smart move from them, see their potential customers:

1.- People like you, that don't care about the name.

2.- Other people that buy it based on the products' name (and yes, those customers exist! Otherwise no software would use catchy names).

They hit 1 by having a great product, and 2 with the attention-getting name.

Extreme Rybka4, thinking deep thoughts! I'm not talking SNL here! Don't be fooled into believing that  it has just stopped making moves in the middle of a game, its in EXTREME DEEP THOUGHT. Be one of the many who wait with bated breath for its " Extreme" infusion of Deep Analytical thinking" as deep as, YES! Depths of 18-19-20-and "21", with a raging climatic dive into Depths of "25-26-and (damn!!!) "28". It can do it! I've seen  it happen!

entertaining jokes, but on a serious note, what is Rybka 4 Extreme?  I ask this as a potential customer, since I own Deep Rybka 3 with aquarium and want to make an informed decision about upgrading.  The USCF advertisement says it includes all the latest publishing, IDea and networking analysis - which suggests it is, in fact, the latest version of Aquarium.  If this is so, then why is the asking price only $59.95.  If I buy Deep Rybka 4 with the latest aquarium it costs over $120. So apparently Rybka 4 Extreme is not likely to contain all the features as Deep Rybka with Aquarium.  Very confusing.

My guess it's that Rybka 4 Extreme only includes the single processor version of Rybka 4, and you should be able to bought that for the same price.
