Alright tomski, good luck!

48hours/move (I hope as a guideline and not to win the game on time.)

all the best! :) (and yes, as a guideline... no one is going to blow any whistles. at any time, anyone can -though i will seldom need to- take a few days -even week(s)- off... and don't worry, i won't use this to get a 'weeks-worth' of analysis)

so, i thought you'd take white, but title suggests otherwise.. so which is it :D

Oh, you probably missed my message at the other thread:

"No, I'd like to take black first, as if you are stronger or weaker then what color I choose does not matter, but if we're on the same level then I can use the black game to check your playing style, move choice, for weaknesses, etc. and then try to take advantage of that information to try to win from the white side. If you don't mind."

So I'm black :)

Purposely avoiding the meat and potatoes of the position choosing instead to play something more safe and less potentially hyperactive.
