I wonder how long it takes before the people at the Rybka forum find out what secret I gave away in my report at ChessVibes :-).
A pity I couldn’t demonstrate the harsh refutation of Shirov-Ftacnik, so that line still remains a secret.
That's certainly something of which I wasn't aware--I guess I'd better start searching for the harsh refutation...

Nah, I don't mean that one!
Then it's the refutation of the Motylev-Anand game?
That has been published here before, but you are very close now!
No program finds the correct 20.. . Nc6! under tournament conditions.
Though I'm not sure this is giving much away...

Hi Jeroen, you mean folks here didn't know you were behind the Freestyle handle "Wizard of Oz"? :)
Best regards,
Nick.

Well, I suppose so! You mean you folks knew that all the time!? But indeed, that is the little secret :-)
Hehe, Vas told me that, so I already knew it :)
That doesn't count :-)
I think your Freestyling really was a well kept secret, but now you've let the cat out of the bag this gives us a good reason to go back and look at The Wizard of Oz games more closely, your win over Engineer (GM Juri Solodownitschenko +comp) with your (forgive me) inferior hardware was really something special. Thanks for the nice article also, the crush of Diep was beautiful.
Best regards,
Nick.

Yeah, no need to hide it anymore :-). The win against Engineer was of course nice. The more I had the very same line against Kaputtze in the first round! So it was amazing I could rattle off the first 38 moves in no time... Fortunately I now knew about the fortress threats, so it didn't happen a second time I blew this winning position!
Do you know that in the prelims I was seriously ill!? So I went in 3 games for the win, while I drew the other ones very quickly. Off to bed again :-). I was very surprised to reach the playoffs in such a condition :-). Anyway, it was real fun to play.
'the moves have not to be strongest but Rybka has to understand them' ?
