As an avid King's Gambit player, I'm curious to know if you analyzed 9.Bxf7!?

> I'm curious to know if you analyzed 9.Bxf7!?

Yes, it was actually my main move when looking at the position from the distance, but after reaching the position Qc3 jumped up and reached a score of 0.24, while Bxf7 remained with a negative score (and I no longer paid much attention to it.)

As the game turned out (my evaluation skyrocketed) I'd keep playing Qc3 on future games, if I played the KG.

Thanks for the info.  That's very good to know, especially since Qh4 is one of the more typical (i.e. natural) ways to meet the Muzio when black doesn't know any theory.

I resign, finding a miracle draw seems now pointless anyway.

*Handshake*

deka, now I challenge you to a last game on these series, to complete the circle, in where I play the Muzio from the black side, do you accept? :)
Parent - - By deka (****) [ee] Date 2009-09-29 20:44
I wouldn't mind to play all three games simultaneously with reversed colors. :)
Parent - - By Uly (Gold) [mx] Date 2009-09-29 22:57
Only one of them is needed to prove the point ;), I'll see which one and create the thread in a few days.
Parent - - By deka (****) [ee] Date 2009-09-30 10:51
what point
Parent - - By Uly (Gold) [mx] Date 2009-09-30 16:03
Well, I thought that if you were to beat me at the 3 Muzio's the score would be even at the end, and the point would be that white has a winning position on the Muzio, or something.

So, if you beat me from the white side I'll accept to play the other two Muzio's with reversed colors, for sure.
Parent - By deka (****) [ee] Date 2009-09-30 17:17
Sounds reasonable, it's now up to you to choose which Muzio variation you want to play. I don't think either side has a winning position so early.
