Well, Rybka is running smoothly in my Fritz 9 GUI at least. It should run smoothly in Fritz 10 GUI as well.
Thx, but i would like rather to have an answer of somebody who have played Rybka in Fritz 10 gui.
I have Fritz 10 and Rybka runs fine, no problems at all
Same here.
Thanks a lot to everybody!!!!
No problems here. I have to check though if loading Zap 64 bit is a problem. I heard it might be ... but I still have not received my copy of 64bit Zap ... I should have it in a few days.
Running fine for me as well.
How about UCI engines priority? In latest F9 UCIs get lower priority and in my PC it takes always
about 5 seconds for any move! Is this now fixed? I don't like to myself change priority to normal.

Hi,
I just loaded DF10 and have had the following problems:
1. Instant system crash as soon as I tried to play against DF10.
Chessbase sent me a link which I downloaded and it fixed the instant crash problem.
2. Engine vs Engine matches. DF10 stops working toward the end of a game and ALWAYS runs out of time. The engine DF10 does not
unload itself when I shut down the GUI. I have to go into the Windows Task Manager and end the process manually.
The Deep Shredder GUI from SMK is running fine on this system, no crashes no issues. The same holds true for the Chessbase GUI for Deep Shredder 9 and Deep Junior 9. No problems no issues.
I am waiting for a response from Chessbase on the current DF10 problem.
I will post the fix when I get an answer from CB. I am running a 64 bit Windows XP Pro OS, FYI.
Best Regards,
Frank Wies

Hi,
Chessbase has been working to debug the DF10 problems. It appears that there is some problem with using more than 6 cores. The engine first hangs and then the gui must be shut down via the windows task manager.
If anyone else is interested in a fix for more than 4 cores, let me know and I will post it when CB fixes the problem.

In fact, there is a problem running more than 4 cores - at least on my computer (2x Xeon X5355 4GB XP x64). If i only use 5 cores DF10 crashes and the whole program incl. gui is shut down.
I have received an update from Chessbase to enable Deep Fritz 10 to use 8 cores ... it appears that it is now working. DF 10 peaks above 13M nps.
Previously, anything more than 4 cores would cause the system to hang. It appears to be functioning correctly but the additional cores do
not improve its chances against R2.3.1 mp x64. When I stopped the engine versus engine match it was 6-1-1 in favor of the little fish.

Frank

Hi Frank!
Could you please paste the games here?
And tell me about what time control you used and all details about the machines?
Thanks in advance!

Thank you very much.
I now received it, too and it works fine. Kn/s are impressive, but playing strength isn´t. I made an engines match Rybka 2.3.1mp x64 - DF10, 719 games bullet. To give DF10 a better chance, both engines got DF10 book. The result was +337/-156/=226 62.59% 450/719.
I made one smaller match Rybka 2.3.1mp x64 with RybkaII book - DF10 with DF10 book, 126 games. Rybka won 74.2% +79/-18/=29 93.5/126
