Playing on playchess, most engines are Rybka 3.
However, I noticed a couple of players where the H/W report sent by playchess shows they are using Rybka 3.2 and 3.2.3.
Obviously anyone can rename the UCI engine. And call it Rybka 4 it one wanted to do that.

Do some people already have access to a more advanced version of Rybka? Or was there only a single V3 of Rybka released and those folks on playchess are just jokers?

But perhaps not as big a joker as those who believe they are some authority on computer chess because they have some expensive multicore hardware.

Not sepcifically you, but it shows how easy it is to ridicule and offend people within our computer chess community so it is a disappointment that anyone who has found there own little niche of enjoyment wihin the community could be ridiculed by someone within the community?

I'm sure many here look up to you as having some degree of knowledge and expertise.

They just open the UCI-Engine with an HEX-Editor and renamed the engine-name. Thats all. No way to improve anything. They just want to feel for 5 seconds important.

i dont think so and you can try it dear and go by the new name to play on line
but i dont think it will work
