During relay chess, members of a team take turns making moves. The catch is that team members aren't allowed to communicate. The Team H1N1 Junkies consists of PortCitySlim and Vytron, while the Vempele & NATIONAL12 team consists of Vempele and NATIONAL12. We'll play two games at the same time, in this one H1N1 Junkies get white, PortCitySlim and Vempele get the odd moves while Vytron (i.e. me) and NATIONAL12 get the even moves. Moves are laced, so your clock doesn't start tickling until the opponents have moved at both boards. More information here.

It's PortCitySlim's turn to move, then it comes Vempele, me and NATIONAL12 (since there were no objections to swapping places, we did it).

"The Sicilian Defense is just an opening trap, trying to provoke White to play d4" - some 2600+ GM.

List of moves I've played here before: e5, c5, e6, Nf6, Nc6, b6.
List of self-respecting moves I have never played here: c6, d6, g6, d5.

1...c6 has been seen before.
The Scandinavian is just too similar to the CK.

Which leaves 1...d6 and 1...g6. They often transpose to each other, but just to be sure:

I was in a huge hurry this morning when I got up to make it to work on time. I know the obvious reply's to Nat12's move but I want to wait tell I get home to dig through my books a bit so I know what kind of game I am moving into if I play a common move. I am going to be moving tonight in about 8 hours, sorry for the slight delay in the opening :)

I did not know they would play this opening, :) I just have a pet line that I love playing in this game OTB, this is computer assisted so it is different.

Ignore the board in the first post, that's just so spectators can follow the game without having to dig within it and building a game move by move.

Guessing by the move numbers, this might be the game in where my clock doesn't start running until Nat12 replies to my move at the other board, but I could be guessing wrong. Really, I'm afraid trying to understand it may turn it into a brown tone or something.

Dude I am lost too. I am just follow the move order of National 12 - PortCitySlim - Vempele - Vytron - National 12 - PortCitySlim - Vempele - Vytron.

Basically you had the correct idea of not moving until both players have made their moves respectively at their boards. If it is Nat12's turn at Board #1 and Vempele's move at Board #2 then that means neither myself or you can make a move until they are finished. It should never ever ever be a team members turn when the other team has to move at another board. Correct?

Nah, I'm happy with "those that fail at keeping the games laced are giving more time to the opponent, since the clock will not start until games are laced" thing, and I don't mind giving them more time this time (since their reply is forced anyway.)

*Ahem* in chess related matters it turns out that the beautiful move of this position turns out to draw or something :sad:, so I'll just, play the other one.

Easy (in relative terms - this is correspondence chess, after all) to equalize, not draw. Overnight IDeA gives 0.11 with an interesting position.

You moved at the wrong board ! It was your move here, but not until the other game has caught up to this one. You need to make your reply to Vempele at the other board then let Nat12 make his move and then I make my move there, at that point that games should be caught up. It is still only move #6 there and you just made move # 8 here.

On a second note, this is something I am proposing. #1 We still try our best to keep the games laced, however we forget about the time control but still promise to do everything humanly possible to move within 24 hours when it is our turn. This whole game is a game between friends and on the honor system anyways, we promised before the game to not have any game related communications between teammates during the game so what is wrong with promising to each other to try our best to move in a timely manner(no flag)?
