guessing game, if  and i do not know if we will, reach 17.Ra3 what do you guys think the Gladiators will play.this is just fun but is critical.
Parent - - By Dragon Mist (****) [hr] Date 2008-11-10 21:49
I agree that blacks 17th is critical. 17...f5, although not very popular recently, has a decent drawing chances. But that's all they can hope for. 17...c4 is slowly but surely a win for white.
Parent - - By NATIONAL12 (Gold) [gb] Date 2008-11-10 21:58
please please tell me the win for white after 17...c4,every GM in the world would like to know.£5000 in the post.

Parent - - By NATIONAL12 (Gold) [gb] Date 2008-11-14 23:26
what move do you think we should play now,we are still debating.just remember earlier in the game i said you should take all my comments with a grain of salt.
Parent - - By Vinvin (***) [be] Date 2008-11-15 00:45
It's become too complex for me ... I'd need to analyse dozens lines  during some hours :-p
Parent - By NATIONAL12 (Gold) [gb] Date 2008-11-15 00:50
you know what we will play, but do the Russians,we take the pawn.

From:

http://www.rybkachess.com/index.php?auswahl=Rybka+3+book

In the Ruy Lopez Zaitsev white's most agressive try is undoubtedly 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 a6 4.Ba4 Nf6 5.O-O Be7 6.Re1 b5 7.Bb3 d6 8.c3 O-O 9.h3 Bb7 10.d4 Re8 11.Nbd2 Bf8 12.a4!? Play usually develops 12... h6 13.Bc2 exd4 14.cxd4 Nb4 15.Bb1 c5 16.d5 Nd7 17.Ra3 c4, leading to the position in the diagram:

(diagram here)

Find out about new white ideas in the main line 18.Nd4, as well as the interesting sideline 18.Ree3!? Food for agressive and attacking players!

watch this space.
Parent - By Dragon Mist (****) [hr] Date 2008-11-15 02:08
I am looking forward to it. This place might very well be the reference for the foreseeable future.
Parent - - By NATIONAL12 (Gold) [gb] Date 2008-11-15 00:56
even in best black lines, we hold advantage at d27
Parent - By Dragon Mist (****) [hr] Date 2008-11-15 02:09
Like I said, white has a win here, it is painfully long, but it is a win.
Parent - - By NATIONAL12 (Gold) [gb] Date 2008-11-15 00:57
we all read that
Parent - - By Dragon Mist (****) [hr] Date 2008-11-15 02:10
I know. But what are you looking for here? Some new ideas, not found elsewhere, and to be brought in public by the Ordinary Forum Member?

> But what are you looking for here? Some new ideas, not found elsewhere, and to be brought in public by the Ordinary Forum Member?

Why don't you join the team and find out? :)
Parent - - By Dragon Mist (****) [hr] Date 2008-11-15 02:13
I'd like that very much, and I was part of the team when we did hamsters, only I am (with regrets) aware that my GHz are reserved for something else, so I would not contribute much. Therefore I choose to merely observe. In this line, however, I regards myself as an expert :-)
Parent - By Uly (Gold) [mx] Date 2008-11-15 02:27
You can join and just observe from the inside, you wouldn't be the only one :-D
Parent - - By Ricky (***) [us] Date 2008-11-15 05:14
Why this comment here? It is out of line.
Parent - - By Uly (Gold) [mx] Date 2008-11-15 06:09
It's a reply to NATIONAL12's "what move do you think we should play now[?]", branching can get confusing at times.
Parent - By Dragon Mist (****) [hr] Date 2008-11-15 11:14
Thanks Vytron. :-)

From a Chess player's perspective, what does 18.Ree3 succeeds?
I can't see anything useful and i would definitely vote for 18.Nd4

You never know if your vote could have changed the course of the game unless you join us ;)

It wins black's queen in 14 moves.

Actually i think if black plays now Qh4 your plan will fail. :-D

Parent - - By George Tsavdaris (****) Date 2008-11-17 11:10 Edited 2008-11-17 11:18
OK then i request from you to join, but don't expect too much since i didn't join for a reason. Because i don't have enough time right now for Chess.

A question:
Where the conversation for the game is? In the Rybka forum or in the Hiarcs forum or to both? And if i join here do i have to join there too?
Parent - By NATIONAL12 (Gold) [gb] Date 2008-11-17 11:33
PM Soren Riis, game is on both forums, not sure about last point if you are in team and member of both forums you will have access to both secret threads.
Parent - By Uly (Gold) [mx] Date 2008-11-17 20:33
The conversation happens in both.
