Isn't that 4-CPU-Rybka_2.2n2 a commercial product?
AFAIK only the one-CPU-Version is free. My delusion?
Many (engine developers :)) could think that Vas should have only released for free the 32 and single core version, but that was not the case
The result is that Rybka 2.2n is free and stronger than the commercial ones, except Rybka 3, of course. Cristhophe Theron for example was not very happy with this
I have been testing Rybka 2.2n2 64-bit 4CPU against a Rybka 2.3.2a SP. I just wanted to see the outcome. It kills Rybka 2.3.2a SP. I know it's not a fair test, I just wanted to see the outcome.
Respect! You give a very fine engine for free!
> It's very awesome! I wonder if Vas will make Rybka 2.3.2 a free version after Rybka 4 comes out! (A cool thought) ;-)
It would be even more cool if it is the MP version, I only have the SP version :)
> Its only annoyance was the fact that it never reported tb usage, when tablebases were actually used.
Really? Hmm, didn't notice that. I noticed that the tablebase are not accessed by default.
Thanks for this very good free engine. - It is understandable if the competitors are not amused. :-p
I like the engine very much. Vas been very generous with the engine that is so strong.
